Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 September 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Contacts phone dialer app for Android (“the app”). “We”, “us” and “our” mean the developer of the app. By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

1. Who can use the app

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. By using the app you confirm that you are able to accept these Terms.

2. Your licence

We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your personal use. You agree not to:

3. What the app does

The app is a phone dialer that can replace your phone’s built-in phone app. It shows your call history, your contacts and favourites, and a dialpad with T9 search and speed dial. It can place and answer calls on its own call screen, show call details after a call ends, show statistics about your calls, block numbers, merge duplicate contacts and export your call history as a file. It is available in 15 languages. Features may change or be removed as the app is updated.

4. Phone calls and emergencies

To place and answer calls, the app must be set as your default phone app. Calls are carried by your mobile network operator through Android’s telephony system, and any charges for calls and messages come from your operator under your plan with them. The app does not provide phone service of its own.

Emergency calls. We work hard to keep calling reliable, but we can’t guarantee that the app, your phone or your network will always be able to connect a call. Don’t rely on the app as your only way to reach emergency services. Android’s emergency dialer remains available from the lock screen, and you can switch back to your phone’s built-in phone app at any time in Android Settings.

5. Blocking and caller details

Numbers you block are added to Android’s own blocked-numbers list. “Block unknown numbers” rejects calls from numbers that aren’t saved in your contacts, which can include calls you wanted to receive, such as a delivery driver or a doctor’s office. For numbers not in your contacts, the app may show a region estimated on your phone from the number itself; this estimate can be incomplete or wrong. Call statistics are calculated from your phone’s call history and are for your information only.

6. Permissions the app needs

The app asks for access to your phone, call history and contacts, and for permission to show notifications, because it can’t work as a phone app without them. It also needs Android’s “Appear on top” permission so the call details screen can open by itself after a call; without it, the app keeps asking for it. Approximate location is optional and off unless you turn it on. You can change any permission in Android Settings, but features that need it stop working while it is off.

7. Your data and conduct

Your contacts, call history and blocked numbers stay on your phone. You are responsible for how you use them. When you export your call history, share a contact or merge contacts, you are handling other people’s personal information, so make sure you do so lawfully and respectfully. Don’t use the app to harass anyone, to make unlawful or abusive calls, or to pretend to be someone else.

8. Ads, ad-free time and purchases

The app is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob, subject to the consent choices you make where consent is required. You can remove ads in two ways:

Purchases are processed by Google Play, and refunds follow Google Play’s refund policies. Some features, such as blocking all unknown numbers, are available only while ads are removed.

9. Third-party services

The app uses Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform for ads and consent, and Google Play for purchases. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we can’t guarantee that they are always available. When you choose to send a message, write an email or share a file, the app you pick handles it under its own terms.

10. Feedback

You are welcome to send questions, suggestions and problem reports to magnusaaron424@gmail.com. If you send a suggestion, we may use it to improve the app without any obligation to you.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses and which services receive data. It is part of these Terms.

12. No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise that the app will be free of errors or interruptions, that every call will connect, that blocking will stop every unwanted call, or that caller details and statistics will be accurate.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, for missed, dropped or blocked calls, for charges from your network operator, or for any loss of contacts or call history, arising from your use of the app. Where liability can’t be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

14. Ending these Terms

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it; choose another default phone app first so you can keep making calls. We may suspend or end your licence if you break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those on warranties and liability, still apply afterwards.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
